Creative Services: Touch Screens
Interactivity is a great way to engage visitors with almost any subject. There are many ways that programmes can be created and displayed – and technology is constantly moving forward.
Quizzes and games are always popular with children - and adults! For the Royal Marines Museum, we developed 4 different programmes one of which is a “navigation” game, which uses maps and techniques Marines are trained in, for visitors to navigate from one camp to another, avoiding enemy patrols and suggesting which terrain would provide best cover. Trainee Marines who visit have even commented it’s helped them!

Royal Marines Museum: Exploring camouflage and it's usesDisplays can be stand-alone kiosk or integrated into larger displays and can control lighting, sound and other external effects.
Graphic animation, video clips, sound, can all be included and using a variety of media like this really can utilise the power of
multi-media to good advantage.

Recipients of the Victoria Cross who served with the Medical CorpsEven simple programmes can be made interesting and can also allow access for disabled visitors to areas they might not otherwise be able to reach. This was exactly the case at the Allen Gallery in Alton, Hants. A small museum with no lift to the upstairs galleries, it houses a nationally important pottery collection and we created a programme with a prime objective to bring these items downstairs – although we also added a few more interesting details to enhance the visit for the able-bodied.
Visitors can explore the Allen Gallery fine china and porcelain collection
Information can be made available where access is restricted e.g. disabled visitors Our team of award winning Designers and Art Directors are researching into new ways to improve the interactive experience and we strive to bring you the latest in interactive vistor technology,
including touch tables and handheld guides.
